This is something a family friend thought about. I decided to share it with you. Feel free pass it on to others as well:
The need for acceptance is the need to be included, recognized and loved for who you are. The need itself is neither good nor bad, but it’s who you require it from that determines whether you are in a healthy or unhealthy position. The reality is that there is no guarantee that people accept, welcome or celebrate us, so self-acceptance becomes very important. Additionally embracing God’s acceptance gives security and satisfies the craving for validation. Below are two Scriptures that assure us that God accepts us:
All whom My Father gives (entrusts) to Me will come to Me; and the one who comes to Me I will most certainly not cast out [I will never, no never, reject one of them who comes to Me].
to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
