Tenacity

Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.  For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:11-12

Thus it is that in war the victorious strategist only seeks battle after the victory has been won, whereas he who is destined to defeat first fights and afterwards looks for victory– Sun Tzu

The path of one who’s chosen is not glamorous in its heart
Yet the endeavour initiates growth that sets them worlds apart
It cannot be contained in a simple state of being
But through passion birthed by firmly believing

There are choices to be made that require strength and courage to endure
While through it all maintain a heart that is pure
To be sure it’s not easy when the world is running on feelings
Focusing on the now, a part of you that won’t be leaving
The dull sense of a misplaced accomplishment
Is overcome through coming back in astonishment
